The Aga Khan Education Service, Pakistan (AKES,P), a prestigious institution of the Aga Khan Development Network, is committed to providing quality education to over 55,000 students through its network of 150+ schools and six hostels.
The Education Office in Gilgit-Baltistan is seeking dynamic and experienced individuals for the following positions:
1. Deputy General Manager (DGM)
Location: Gilgit-Baltistan
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the management and development of 109 schools, ranging from K-12 to primary levels.
Support the General Manager in implementing the Long-Term Strategy, focusing on improving student learning outcomes.
Manage school operations, strategic initiatives, coordination, and monitoring.
Oversee the evaluation of schools and support academic leadership.
Requirements:
Master’s degree with a minimum of 10 years of proven management experience.
Strong leadership and excellent English communication skills.
Proficiency in education management and tools like MS Word and Excel.
Experience in improving school outcomes and mentoring staff.
2. Manager School Development (Gilgit-Hunza Region)
Key Responsibilities:
Lead school development and repositioning projects.
Develop proposals for school upgrades, extensions, and quality assurance plans.
Collaborate with Manager Academics for school affiliation and registration.
Revise school standards and benchmarks, and create evaluation mechanisms.
Requirements:
Master’s degree (preferably in Education) with 8+ years of management experience.
Strong leadership and English communication skills.
Proficiency in education management, operational planning, and relevant software tools.
3. Head, Regional School Development Unit (RSDU) – Gilgit Region
Key Responsibilities:
Lead a team to assist schools in achieving improvement targets.
Develop and implement strategic plans for school development.
Collaborate with school leaders and coordinate with stakeholders.
Focus on academic excellence in designated schools.
Requirements:
Master’s degree in Education with 5+ years of teaching experience and 2+ years in academic management.
Strong communication, leadership, and management skills.
Proficiency in planning, monitoring, and operational tools like Microsoft Word.
